This is a beautiful coffee grinder. Made of old style white ceramic pottery with a clamp on lip reminding you of the old clamp on Mason jar lids.
The grinding mechanism itself is adjustable and might have to be adjusted to your favorite grinded bean. Note that we pre adjust it here so it might be perfect already. If not just loosen the nut on the shaft and turn the star wheel up or down till you get the best grind. It may take some experimenting to get it just the way you like i…

We had our power knocked out by Hurricane Ike and realized we needed to have a manual coffee bean grinder. After our power came back I saw this on Amazon.com and thought it would be just right. It arrived with a $10 shipping and handling fee which brought the cost to $35. It was not worth it. The handle unscrewed immediately. The metal parts are cheap and flimsy and would not stay set long enough to grind even one bean. They added a wooden spoon-may be trying to make you feel like you are getting something for your money. Cute, but useless as a real kitchen tool.

What a handy coffee grinder! I love it! It is aboslutely fabulous for when the power is out, or when you don’t want to drag out an electric one, plus it looks really cute sitting on your counter! Really easy to adjust the grind size … if you prefer a finer grind or a coarse grind, it does it, in just a few seconds!! You can grind just a little or a lot and store it in the ceramic crock. My kiddos love to help in the kitchen, and this was a great way to get them involved in helping prepare breakfast last weekend!! So easy, even a child can do it! Would make a great gift … a wedding gift for the coffee drinking couple, or add it to a gift basket full of gourmet coffees, a cool mug & some great home-made (or store bought for the non-adventurous) biscotti. Would also make a great addition to a country kitchen.

Great looking ceramic type grinder. Even comes with a wooden spoon.
The grinder mechanism on top took a bit of adjusting but when I got it just right it makes the chore a snap. Plus the container holds about a quart of ground coffee so it lasts awhile.
Also has a lid seal to keep the coffee fresh.
So, not only does it work, but I love the look of it on my counter. Very old timey.
